Vidya Balan to make her Malayalam debut as 'Kamala Surayya'

Director Kamal says he did not think twice about the lead role, as he was sure only Vidya was suitable to play the role of Kamala, the revolutionary Malayalam writer.
Murali Gopy will play the role of Kamala’s husband. Prithviraj will be seen in her lover’s part. The movies is said to be revolving around Kamala’s marriage at the age of 15, her autobiography ‘Ente Kadha’ and her conversion to Islam when she was 67.
Vidya was to make her debut in Malayalam opposite Mohanlal in the movie Chakram. But the project did not take off. Vidya is excited about her debut in Mollywood and is preparing for her role as Kamala Surayya, say sources.
