As usual, Samantha was looking stunning in a delicately worked gold and off-white saree, while Naga Chaitanya was in a grey suit that gave him a boyish charm. The ceremony was solemnised in the presence of close family members and friends.

However, the real surprise seemed to rest in the saree itself, which turned out to be unique on closer examination. 

Samantha's recent post on Instagram captioned - 'He put a ring on it' initially revealed the secret. In the picture, you can see the proposal scene woven in the saree. 

A few days before the engagement; the actress then shared a video on Instagram, that gave us a glimpse of the whole engagement saree. And what a sight it was! A trip down memory lane, via golden threads!

In the video, we can see how the saree was crafted. It was a custom-made saree by Mumbai-based designer Kresha Bajaj, whose Love Story lehenga line became a rage after she designed one for her wedding.

According to a report, the designer, who believes in giving a voice to the outfits she designs, created magic on the actress's saree that came with intricate, gold embroidery.

Among the various moments embroidered on the saree, for example, included a scene from their first film together, Ye Maaya Chesave, where they both were in the New York City, checking out the skyline.
