Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan engage in lighthearted banter at San Diego Comic-Con's Project K panel, where Kamal reveals his reason for accepting the villainous role in Prabhas' movie, emphasizing the unique bond between Indian films and their energetic audience--by Amrita Ghosh
Kamal Haasan spoke at the Project K panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, and he and Amitabh Bachchan had some lighthearted banter as well. Kamal Haasan stated that he detested the movie Sholay and that he did the movie Kalki 2898 AD because of THIS reason. Through the use of video conferencing, Amitabh Bachchan was able to join the team in San Diego.
The reason I accepted this project is because I come from a background of parallel cinema, Kamal Haasan explained when asked why he agreed to work on Project K. There is no such thing as a positive without a negative. Therefore, a significant part of a movie requires one to play a villain.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Kamal plays a villainous part in this Prabhas movie.
The Ualaganayagan continued their discussion by moving on to the topic of Indian films and the Indian audience. He remarked that "what makes our cinema so special is the energy that our audience brings to the experience." We create films, and they create celebrities.
