Kabali pirated copy gets over 2 million views in 12 hours

The pirated copy of the much awaited Rajinikanth movie was uploaded on two video sharing sites on Friday, the official date of release of the movie.
The full version was uploaded on, Vimeo and Tamilrockers.com.
The video uploaded on Vimeo was downloaded more than 1.85 million times while the torrent uploaded on Tamilrockers was downloaded over 1.6 lakh times within 12 hours of uploading.
The video was uploaded to Vimeo at 5.10 am IST.
The introduction scene of Rajinikanth in the movie had already been leaked and was widely circulated through Whatsapp. Now the link for the torrent download and the Vimeo video is also being circulated widely through Whatsapp.
The cyber wing of Kerala Police found the pirated version of the movie just hours after its release.
The Madras High Court had issued an interim order restraining internet service providers in India from illegal downloads of the movie after Kabali producer S Thanu approached the court.
