Kabali pirated copy gets more than 2 million views

The pirated copy of the film was uploaded on two video sharing sites on Friday, which was the official date of release. The full version was uploaded on two websites, Vimeo and Tamilrockers.com. The video uploaded on Vimeo was viewed more than 1.85 million times while the on Tamilrockers was downloaded over 1.6 lakh times within 12 hours of uploading.
The introduction scene of Rajinikanth in the movie had already been leaked and was widely circulated through Whatsapp. Now the link for the torrent and Vimeo is also being circulated widely through WhatsApp. The cyber wing of Kerala Police found the pirated version of the movie just hours after its release.
The Madras High Court had issued an interim order restraining internet service providers in India from illegal downloads of the movie after 'Kabali' producer S Thanu had approached the court.
