Machine Gun Kelly recently revealed that during a 'dark' time after his father's death, he was on a call with Megan Fox when putting a loaded shotgun in his mouth.

Machine Gun Kelly narrated an incident in which he nearly attempted suicide by putting a loaded shotgun in his mouth. At that moment, he was on a call with his now-fiancée Megan Fox.

These details were revealed by Machine Gun Kelly himself in his new documentary titled “Machine Gun Kelly’s Life in Pink” which was released on Monday on Hulu. The singer, whose real name is Colson Baker, was speaking about how his father’s death in July 2020, which occurred on the anniversary of his album ‘Hotel Diablo’, affected him. Soon after his father’s death, Kelly, who was still coping with his huge loss, met with one of his father's neighbours who told him all these things he “didn't want to hear" and worsened his condition because he wasn't able to "get closure" following the conversation.

"I wouldn't leave my room and I started getting really, really, really dark," Machine Gun Kelly said in the documentary. Speaking further on this, he revealed, "Megan went to Bulgaria to shoot a movie, I started getting this really wild paranoia, like I kept getting paranoid that someone was gonna come and kill me."

Machine Gun Kelly then revealed that at the moment, he was sleeping with a shotgun next to his bed. He then "just fu**ing snapped," called Megan Fox and told her how she was not there for him.

"I'm in my room and I'm like freaking out on here and... Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth," Machine Gun Kelly said. Sharing further shivery details, he said that Megan Fox went "dead silent" as he attempted to cock the shotgun and the bullet got jammed.

It was that very incident when Machine Gun Kelly realised that it was a wake-up call for him to "kick the drugs, for real this time" for both Megan Fox and his daughter, Casie Baker. "That was kind of where I started realizing like, something's not right," he said in the documentary.

In the past, Machine Gun Kelly has spoken about his mental health. In an interview in December 2020, he said that he was seeking therapy. "Currently, my drug of choice is happiness and commitment to the art, rather than a commitment to a vice that I believed made the art," he said in the interview.
