Kabali star Dhansika takes on a difficult role in Dulquer Salman’s Solo

Synopsis

The actress is set to make her debut in Mollywood. Dhansika will play the female lead in Dulquer Salman’s Solo.

Dhansika is making her foray into Mollywood and how. The 27-year-old actress is soon going to appear alongside Dulquer Salman in Bejoy Nabmbiar’s bilingual film, Solo.

This latest news only increases the anticipation surrounding Nambiar’s ambitious project, which is being shot in Malyalam and Tamil simultaneously. So far, very little is known about Dhansika’s character except that she is taking on the role of a visually impaired person.

Dhansika’s roles have been challenging so far. The actress played the role of a gangster in Kabali; a sex worker in Sinam and now, a visually challenged person in Solo.

We can’t wait to see what she brings to a cast that shines with names such as Shruthi Hariharan, Qaushik Mukherjee, Prakash Belawadi and John Vijay, among others. Although she is confirmed to have joined the cast, it’s unclear if she has started shooting yet.

Dulquer earlier said his upcoming movie will make for great cinema and was quite excited about it. Mollywood’s current heartthrob is expected to appear in a role that’s different from what audiences are used to.

Solo marks Bejoy’s debut in Mollywood but the filmmaker said he treats every movie as a first. He told The Times of India, “Every film comes with its set of pressure and challenges. So, you have to treat every movie as your first.” The film is produced by Bejoy’s production house, Getaway Films and so far, a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
