Bling Empire star Anna Shay passes away at 62

A sad piece of news is here for the fans of the reality series Bling Empire. The renowned reality star Anna Shay is no more. She has passed away from a heart stroke. The late star was 62 years old.

Anna Shay, star of the Netflix reality series Bling Empire, has passed away after suffering a stroke. The late star's family has officially confirmed in a statement shared with a global entertainment portal by Netflix on Monday. She was 62.

Her family's official statement read, "It saddens our hearts to announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star, and our brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away. Anna taught us many life lessons on how not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the finer things. Her impact on our lives will be forever missed, but never forgotten."

For those unaware, Anna Shay first appeared on the hit Netflix reality series “Bling Empire” in 2021 when the reality show premiered, and appeared throughout the second and third seasons. Bling Empire followed the lives of wealthy Asian and Asian American Los Angeles elites. Christine Chiu, Kim Lee, Kane Lim, Kevin Kreider and Kelly Mi Li starred alongside Shay in the series.

Anna has a son named Kenny Kemp, 27. The statement is from her family noted grandchildren; it is not revealed anywhere and unknown as to how many and with whom Kenny has children with. She shared her final Instagram post on December 2, 2022. Her post caption read, "Wishing everyone happy holiday... May all your dreams come true. And a very special Thank you to all at the Netflix."

The show's matriarch, who was half Japanese and half Russian, was the only daughter of the late billionaire businessman Edward Shay and Japanese-American Ai-San. Anna's father founded Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE), which is a defense and government services contractor that worked with the U.S. government and the United Nations.

She and her younger brother Allen sold their father's company PAE to Lockheed Martin in an all-cash, $1.2 billion deal in 2006. While she was well-known in LA, the late socialite always kept herself out of the public eye. With a reported net worth of $600 million, she was by far the richest cast member.
