Baahubali 2 crosses the Rs 500 crores mark before release, know how?

Synopsis

National Award- winning director SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Baahubali 2 has made some unprecedented pre-release business. The film is in the post-production stage. 33 VFX global studios are working on the film’s special effects. 

Baahubali: The Conclusion will release in three languages, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, and for each of its versions, the distributors have paid a record price. Bollywood’s favourite filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is presenting the Hindi version of the film. 

 

According to industry tracker Ramesh Bala's latest tweet, the theatrical rights of the film’s Hindi version has fetched a whopping Rs 120 crore. The Tamil version has raked in Rs 47 crore, and the Karnataka rights, Rs 45 crore and Kerala rights, a record breaking Rs 10 crore. The Telugu rights from all states together have minted Rs 130 crore.

Internationally, the distribution rights of North America has also earned Rs 45 crore, while the USA numbers are yet to be known.

 

Apart from this, the satellite rights have also added to the filmmakers revenue. Asianet Newsable had earlier reported about the record-breaking deal the filmmakers made with Sony TV Network for the satellite rights of its Hindi version at a whopping price of Rs 51 crore, while the original Telugu version is at Rs 26 crore.

The historical drama is one of the most anticipated films of this year.  India and Baahubali's fans will finally know the answer to the most asked question – why did Katappa kill Baahubali?.

 

Moviegoers are also excited to see Amarendra-Devasena love story, and also Rana Daggubati and Prabhas's war scene will be something to watch forward to its larger-than-life experience. 

 

According to the reports, the film is in the post-production stage. 33 VFX global studios are working on the film’s special effects. Baahubali 2  hits the screen on April 28 this year.
