The Indian contingent works out tirelessly to prepare itself in its best shape for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. In the meantime, legends from across sports are trying to cheer up the Indian athletes, as former Indian cricketer Tendulkar has done the same.
The Tokyo Olympics is just around the corner, while the Indian contingent is putting in its endless effort to be prepared for the global extravaganza. As of now, more than 120 athletes looks set to represent the nation.
The Indian delegation has been rated as its best to date, while experts have deemed this India's best chance to enter double figures in terms of medal tally this term. Consequently, legends and former sportspersons are doing their part to cheer the athletes ahead of the global event.
In the same light, former Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar is also doing his part to cheer the athletes. Furthermore, he urged the Indian citizens to support them with their hearts out, as it would inspire them to do better during the event.

"During the pandemic, all of us have faced challenges, including our athletes. They did not give up, they kept on preparing to the best of their ability and I know they are geared up to give their best performance at the Tokyo Olympics. All our athletes have worked really hard right now. They need our support and good wishes. Let's cheer for India," he said in a video he shared on his social media handles.

Meanwhile, legendary female boxer MC Mary Kom and Indian hockey skipper Manpreet Singh would be the flag bearers for the nation during the opening ceremony on July 23, while wrestler Bajrang Punia would do so during the closing. Narinder Batra, the president of the Indian Olympic Association, has asserted that other than the 120-plus athletes,75 officials would also be travelling to Tokyo, making the full strength of the contingent 200-plus.
