Dubai: Indian cricket fans were happy to see Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni with Shane Watson as the IPL team shared the duo’s picture on Friday (September 4).

Players Deepak Chahar, Ruturaj Gaikwad and 11 others were infected with the virus. However, the rest of the squad members and officials have tested negative in the latest tests, which is a big relief for the three-time champions.

On their Twitter handle, CSK posted the picture of Dhoni and Watson together and fans were thrilled to see it. "Watto Thala Dharisanam! #WhistlePodu," they captioned the picture. The caption means "Watto (Watson) Thala (Leader) sighting". There were many comments on the micro-blogging website. In Chennai, Dhoni is called "Thala".

Fans are eagerly waiting to see Dhoni back in action. He has not played competitive cricket since July 2019. On August 15, he retired from international cricket.

IPL 2020 will be played in the UAE from September 19 to November 10. CSK are likely to face defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the tournament opener.
