India to tour England in 2022 for limited-overs series (See schedule)

Synopsis

India is currently touring England for a five-Test series for the Pataudi Trophy that India leads 2-1 after four Tests. Meanwhile, India would tour England again in 2022 for limited-overs contests.

India is presently involved in a five-Test series against England for the Pataud Trophy, as it leads 2-1 after winning the fourth Test at The Oval in London. However, India would be back in England next year for limited-overs contests.

The England and Wales Cricket Board on Wednesday announced the schedule for England men's summer in 2022. India is slated to play three Twenty20 Internationals and One-Day Internationals each.

The tour begins with the T20Is and will be played on July 1, 3 and 6 in Manchester, Nottingham, and Southampton. It would conclude with the ODIs on July 9, 12 and 14 in Birmingham, The Oval and Lord's, respectively.

In the meantime, England's summer would begin in June, with New Zealand touring for a three-Test series, to be played between June 2-27 in Lord's, Nottingham and Leeds. While the India tour would follow it, the summer would end with a full tour by South Africa, involving three games each across formats, between July 19 to September 12.

1st T20I:
July 1 - Manchester
2nd T20I: July 3 - Nottingham
3rd T20I: July 6 - Southampton
1st ODI: July 9 - Birmingham
2nd ODI: July 12 - The Oval
3rd ODI: July 14 - Lord's
