
Bengaluru: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to release IPL 2020 fixtures on Saturday (September 5), a report said today (September 3).

According to India Today website, defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are likely to face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match on September 19.
When IPL was set to be played earlier in India, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma-led teams were scheduled to lock horns in IPL 13 opener.

Now, the same opening day game is set to be played in the UAE, according to the report.
Despite the CSK camp being hit with COVID-19 positive cases, the BCCI is set to make them play the tournament opener.
MI and CSK had met in last IPL’s final where the ‘men in blue’ emerged victorious in a thrilling final.
The BCCI shifted IPL 2020 out of India due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The final is scheduled to be played on November 10. Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah will host the matches.
