An Andhra government employee, Kalyani, attempted suicide in front of the AP assembly after she alleged that state labour minister K Atchannaidu allegedly kicked her.
Kalyani, who also staged a protest in from of RIMS in Srikakulam Town, said that she had approached the minister as she had not been paid salary for the last four months.
The woman is a Class IV employee in the R &B department. She said recently she met the minister to complain about her ordeal, but instead, the labour minister abused her and even assaulted her.
The government officials, however, claim that Kalayani had got her job after her father's death by submitting fake SSC certificate. The department launched a probe, since then she has been blaming everyone.
