Synopsis

Two villagers in Krishna district G. Konduru were caught selling dog meat Police apprehended the two miscreants after villagers informed them of their misdeeds They sold dog meat as wild animals’ meat to restaurants at Rs 400 per kilo.

Two villagers in Krishna District G. Konduru were apprehended by the police for selling dog meat claiming it to be sheep meat. The villagers informed the police of the doings of these miscreants.

According to villagers, Katta Adinarayana and Segu Lakshmana Rao of G. Konduru caught the street dogs in the village, killed them and sold the meat to different hotels and restaurants as sheep meat.

The villagers hatched a plan to catch them and spied on these two. They caught them red-handed on Friday afternoon when they killed a dog and were removing its skin.

The two miscreants also sold the dog meat claiming it as wild animals’ meat to Mylavaram restaurants at the cost of Rs 400 per kilo.
