Andhra Pradesh Guntur Telugu Desam Party MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy commented that the Assembly sessions without opposition YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) is like a battle without fire. YSRCP has boycotted the session against Government’s encouragement to defection.
AP Assembly sessions started on November 10 and with weekend holidays, Tuesday is the third day of the sessions. When asked about how the sessions are faring without the opposition, many TDP MLAs off the record said they are without fire.
However, Guntur TDP MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy, known for his straightforwardness, went a step ahead and said it was like a battle without an opponent and that there’s no fire in the sessions. He said they are acting like an opposition raising questions on various issues.
He compared the Assembly to a temple where the people’s problems are discussed. He said YSRCP’s decision to boycott is not correct and advised YSRCP leaders to rethink over their decision.
