Amit Shah calls Jagan to garner support for Venkaiah Naidu as Vice President

Synopsis

Amit Shah called YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy to seek support for Venkaiah Naidu Jagan answered in the affirmative and announced his support to the candidature Jagan said because Naidu was Telugu he would have their full support

The NDA has announced senior BJP Minister Venkaiah Naidu as its Vice Presidential candidate. In this regard BJP president called YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday night to gather his support. This was revealed by Jagan himself and he announced his support to the NDA vice presidential candidate Venkaiah Naidu.

 

Jagan was gracious in his acceptance of Amit Shah’s request. He said to Amit Shah that as a Telugu party YCP would not hesitate to support Venkaiah Naidu who is a Telugu person.

 

Jaganmohan Reddy said:  “Prominent constitutional posts like President, Vice President and Speaker must be elected unanimously. Then the people working in those posts would work impartially and that is the policy followed by YCP.”
