A woman on the Nipah contact list died in Kottakkal, Malappuram. She had been in the ICU with a girl who died of Nipah. Health officials stopped the cremation pending test results.

Four people, including a nine-year-old boy, who were under treatment for the Nipah virus in Kozhikode have recovered. Health Minister Veena George informed that all four have tested negative and were discharged from NIMS Hospital.
