Viral Dubai Kunafa Chocolate Gujiya: Easy Homemade Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Kunafa dough (Vermicelli) - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Dark chocolate - ½ cup
  • Mawa - ½ cup
  • Condensed milk - 2 tbsp
  • Pistachios and almonds - 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder
  • Honey- ¼ cup

Prepare the Kunafa Sheet

  • Break the kunafa dough (or roasted vermicelli) into small pieces.
  • Add ghee and roast until lightly crispy.

Prepare the Filling

  • Roast mawa in a pan, then add melted chocolate, condensed milk, chopped nuts, and cardamom powder.
  • Cook until thickened and let it cool.

Shape the Gujiya

  • Spread the kunafa mixture in a small bowl, place the chocolate-mawa filling in the middle.
  • Add more kunafa on top and press lightly.

Bake or Fry

  • Bake at 180°C for 10-15 minutes or deep fry until lightly golden brown.

Syrup and Garnish

  • Dip the prepared gujiya lightly in honey or sugar syrup.
  • Garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds and serve.
