Ingredients

  • Green Chana – 1 cup
  • Desi Ghee – 4 tablespoons
  • Mawa (Khoya) – ½ cup
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Dry Fruits – 2 tablespoons (chopped)

Make Green Chana Paste

  • Wash the green chana well and boil it. 
  • Grind it coarsely in a mixer (do not make it completely smooth).

Roast in Ghee

  • Heat ghee in a pan and add the green chana paste to it.
  • Fry on low heat for 8-10 minutes until it turns light brown.

Add Mawa and Milk

  • Now add mawa and milk to it and let it cook on low heat.
  • Keep stirring continuously so that the halwa does not stick to the pan.

Add Sugar and Cardamom

  • When the mixture starts to thicken, add sugar and cardamom powder.
  • Cook it well for 5-7 minutes.

Add Dry Fruits and Serve

  • When the halwa starts to release ghee, add almonds, cashews, and pistachios and mix.
  • Serve hot green chana halwa and enjoy!
