The only location in southern Kerala where cliffs border the Arabian Sea is Varkala beach.

Three nearby crescent-shaped beaches make up the well-known Kovalam beach. A large rock outcropping on the shore has formed a stunning harbor with calm seas perfect for swimming.

Cherai Beach is known for frequent dolphin sightings. It is one of the few places where the backwaters and the sea can be seen in a single frame.

People flock in large numbers to view the sunset from the Kozhikode beach. Vasco-da-Gama made his first landing at this location, marking the beginning of the famous Spice Route.

Shankhumugham Beach is considered the ‘Arattukadavu’ of Sri Ananthapadmanabhan - The presiding deity of the city. 

Munambam is well-known in the districts of Ernakulam and Thrissur due to the presence of a significant fishing harbour there.
