The fine for drunk driving, previously Rs1000-1500, is now Rs 10,000 with up to 6 months in jail. Repeat offenders face Rs 15,000 fine and 2 years in jail.

2. Riding a Bike Without a Helmet
Riding a bike or scooter without a helmet carries a Rs 1,000 fine and a 3-month license suspension. Triple riding on a two-wheeler also incurs a Rs 1,000 fine.

3. Driving Without a Seatbelt, Using Phone While Driving
Driving without a seatbelt can now result in a Rs 1,000 fine. The fine for talking on a mobile phone while driving has increased from Rs 500 to Rs 5,000.

4. Driving Without DL or Insurance
Driving without a valid driving license now carries a Rs 5,000 fine instead of Rs 500. Not having valid insurance papers results in a Rs 2,000 fine and 3 months in jail.

Riding or driving without a pollution certificate now carries a Rs 10,000 fine instead of Rs 1,000, along with up to 6 months in jail and community service.

6. Fine for Stunts, Dangerous Driving, Racing
If a bike rider is performing stunts, driving dangerously, or racing/overspeeding, the fine is now Rs 5,000 instead of Rs 500.

If you do not give way to an emergency vehicle like an ambulance, you will now face a fine of up to Rs 10,000, which was previously Rs 1,000.

If someone breaks a traffic signal, they will now have to pay a fine of Rs 5,000, which was previously only Rs 500.

Driving under the age of 18 will result in a Rs 25,000 fine, up from Rs 2,500. Additionally, there's a 3-year jail term, one-year vehicle registration cancellation.
