Bengaluru: As Bengaluru stands scared with over 100 positive cases of coronavirus, the BBMP, police, doctors Army and volunteers are going all-out to blunt the spread of the virus and ensure that the red zone turns into green. Joining in the effort are BBMP group D workers, hired on contract basis, who go out carrying spraying cans on their backs to ensure the areas remain infection free.

Prakash V, a BBMP gangman (one who disinfects areas by spraying chemicals) says he puts in 5 hours and empties 8 cans each weighing 25 kilos and sprays disinfectant in all containment areas.
