Former President Pranab Mukherjee in deep coma, renal parameters slightly deranged: Hospital

After undergoing brain surgery, Pranab Mukherjee went into a coma. Doctors are monitoring his condition 24 hours a day. His renal parameters are slightly deranged since Monday (August 24), said the hospital.

Former President Pranab Mukherjee is still in a deep coma. The Army's Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi said that the treatment for lung infection is going on. His renal parameters are slightly deranged since Monday (August 24) and he is still on ventilator. Specialist doctors are monitoring his health 24 hours a day in hospital.

Pranab Mukherjee, 64, has been in a Delhi hospital since August 10. Doctors have said that the renal parameters include level of urea, creatinine, sodium, potassium, and uric acid in the body. These chemicals can cause various problems in the body. According to sources, Pranab Mukherjee has been kept under strict observation.

Pranab Mukherjee fell at home and suffered a head injury. He then was taken to the Army Hospital in Delhi for treatment. After tests, the former president was found to be infected with COVID-19. Since then he has been in hospital. He underwent brain surgery for injuries to his head. The veteran politician has been in a coma since then.
