Kareena was signed for Veere Di Wedding but later she discovered that she is pregnant with Taimur Ali Khan. The actress requested the producer of the film and her friend Rhea Kapoor to take some young girl as her role replacement.
However, Rhea decided to change the script and show Kareena 6 months pregnant so she can show her original baby bump.
But they later called this idea off, as there is no maternity insurance for actresses in India in case of any mishap.
Rhea decided to keep the film on hold and work with Kareena Kapoor post her maternity leave.
The film was a hit and Kareena was appreciated for shedding weight instantly and acing the role of Kalandi like a pro.
