Bollywood actor Soni Razadan is married to Indian Director Mahesh Bhatt for the past several decades. But their love-llife was not a bed of roses.
Though they have been together for many years, they did face their own hardships and troubles. Once Mahesh Bhatt openly spoke in an interview about his struggles with alcohol, and his wife's patience to deal with it, and much more.
"Soni coped with my most difficult phase that was my drinking habit, which almost became a disease. I turned everything I touched into a wasteland, must have been quite traumatic. She has lived with the aberration of my other family, without making a big issue out of it," he said in an interview with Simi Grewal in 1998.
When Soni was asked if she faced any resentment from Mahesh's first wife or children she said, "It as there at first for a while, but that went away over the years. We get along well now, but we had our fight. There were problems when we weren't married but after that, once I got married to him, we have been very very good to reach more other."
Spilling some tea Mahesh added to this,"There was resentment early on. She was this evil seductress who took their papa away. I let them express their rage and anger."
When Pooja once asked about her father's affair she had said, 'Soni was snatching her father away' is how she felt, "I did resent my dad for leaving my mother for another woman. I used to hate Soni. In fact, there were times I used to flare up at the very mention of her name."
Although they all get along well now, and sisters Pooja, Alia and Shaheen are seen spending quality time together.
