Soumitra Chatterjee on partial ventilation support

Partial ventilation support was given to veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee around 3 pm on Monday (October 26) to provide airway protection. His brain is not responding well. Doctors are fearing that the nerves will gradually become paralyzed. The actor has also contracted secondary pneumonia.

Veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee was put on partial ventilation support on Monday (October 26).

His brain is not responding well. Doctors are fearing that the nerves will gradually become paralyzed. The actor has also contracted secondary pneumonia. 

Partial ventilation support was given to Soumitra Chatterjee around 3 pm on Monday to provide airway protection.

According to hospital sources, “In the last 72 hours, the condition of the veteran actor has become increasingly critical. The medical board started thinking about the next steps of treatment.”

In other words, intubation support has been introduced to protect the airway.

According to the medical bulletin on Monday (October 26) evening, “Soumitra Chatterjee’s blood pressure is stable. GI bleeding is no more. Urine is normal. Platelet level decreased due to GI bleeding.”
