Bengaluru: Several Indian actresses, photographers and models have been creating their versions of Durga Devi this Dasara.
However, Sandalwood actress Shwetha Srivatsav’s portrait along with daughter Ashmitha has become the talk of the town.
On Friday Shwetha posted a picture of herself draped beautifully in a maroon saree representing the modern or real-life Durga Devi.
With photoshopped hands representing the eight hands of Durga, Shwetha carries a very important element in each hand.

From carrying her daughter Ashmitha in one hand to holding a pot, makeup, yoga mat, a pen, laptop, knife, and a book in other hands; Shwetha presents her and almost every woman’s life in a nutshell through this portrait.
Shwetha took to Instagram to share this picture and fans can not get over how beautiful she looks and presents herself.

Durga Devi's story provide invaluable learnings for women of all ages, that within them resides the ability to be protector, warrior and a care-giver ..... This dexterity ought to be treasured, celebrated and appreciated much more than it perhaps is. THIS is what we need to draw and learn from Durga’s story, and apply it to society. Not only does Goddess Durga serve as an icon for empowering women, her life presents many lessons from which we can learn, particularly with reference to women in society today.
