Fans of superstar Mohanlal are super-excited over the release of his first full length Telugu movie Manamantha on 5 August.

The family entertainer, directed by National award-winning filmmaker Chandrasekhar Yeleti, will  be simultaneously released in Tamil and Malayalam as Namadhu and Vismayam respectively.

The highly respected Malayalam superstar, who rarely ventures into other language films, reportedly learnt Telugu in just a week and completed the dubbing in 68 hours.

The director was very particular that the characters speak the rural dialect like native users. Though it was a challenging task, he decided to take it up. After the teaser of the movie was released, the actor's performance and the ease in which he delivered the dialogue were widely appreciated by many well-known Tollywood personalities.

Manamantha, an anthology of four stories, is Mohanlal's second outing in Tollywood after a cameo appearance in Gandeevam (1994). The film also has actress Gautami, who is coming together on screen after 18 years after Iruvar (1997). Meanwhile, Mohanlal has another Telugu film 'Janatha Garage,' lined up for release later this month.
