Chaipatti, a short horror comedy film, was released on Sunday and is being lauded as one of the most entertaining in the genre. Chaipatti was an instant success on YouTube, with viewers praising the filmmakers and actors for their unique approach. The enigmatic conclusion to the spooky and funny tale of three friends experimenting call a ghost still intrigues the audience.

Three friends try to interact a ghost with a book in this fast-paced short film. What follows is a series of humorous exchanges and squabbling among the friends, as each of them has a distinct personality. They begin reading the book, chanting Mantras, and then there is a knock on the door just as they are about to finish. Is the spirit here? Is it going to become a nightmare for 'the three hilarious musketeers'?

On March 28, the short horror comedy film was released on YouTube, and it is now set to be shown on major OTT platforms. Sudhanshu Rai, who recently completed the first season of his storytelling show on one of the country's leading FM radio channels, makes his directorial and acting debut with this over 10-minute short film.

. The USP of this 10-minute film is the imagination of Chaipatti, created by Saints Art under the banner of Kahanikaar Sudhanshu Rai.  Sudhanshu, Abhishek Sonpaliya, Shobhit Sujay, and Priyanka Sarkar feature in the film.

While talking about Sudhanshu Rai's take on producing such a film, he said, "It was a wonderful experience to write Chaipatti along with my friend and film's co-producer Puneet. Though it hails from horror-comedy genre, the storyline is nothing like what we have already seen on the screen, and hence it's being loved by the audience. I would say Chaipatti is a sincere attempt, but is just the initial stepping stone toward bigger projects."

Puneet Sharma, who has been a co-writer and co-producer of the film, said, "We thank the audience from the bottom of our heart for such a massive response to Chaipatti. There are many demanding a sequel to the film. Let's see what happens."

Anant Rai, Chaipatti's Creative Producer, has ensured the right scary-comedy-packed moments. Karan Aneja and Lazer teamed up to create a captivating background score that adds drama to the plot. Sahib Aneja edited the film, and Director of Photography Vipin Singh added suspense to the drama.
