"This is the victory of PM Modi's leadership, development and trust. The people of Delhi have expressed their faith in PM Modi's vision of development... The BJP's decisive win in the Delhi Assembly elections, ending a 27-year hiatus from power, is being hailed as a triumph of "Brand Modi." Political analysts attribute the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strategic messaging and immense popularity, which played a key role in helping the BJP overcome the AAP led by Arvind Kejriwal in a fiercely contested race.
Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal launched a scathing attack on AAP and its leadership on Saturday, stating that those who commit crimes against women are eventually punished.
In a veiled reference to the alleged assault by Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar, Maliwal remarked, “If history has shown anything, it’s that those who wrong women face divine justice.”
Taking direct aim at Kejriwal, she added, “Even Ravan’s pride was shattered, and he was mighty. This is just Kejriwal.”
Maliwal attributed AAP’s electoral downfall to Delhi’s worsening pollution, poor infrastructure, and lack of basic amenities, claiming, “People can’t be fooled forever.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the BJP's resounding victory in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections as a “historic mandate,” expressing gratitude to the people of the national capital for their trust in the party’s vision of development and good governance.
I am so proud of each and every @BJP4India Karyakarta, who has worked very hard, leading to this outstanding result. We will work even more vigorously and serve the wonderful people of Delhi.
