According to reports, the Taliban, who appear to detest pornography, are now digging deep to find Afghan brothels to identify and murder or imprison the women who worked in them.

The Taliban is scouring pornographic sites for a "death list" of Afghan sex workers and is "hell-bent" on tracking them down to publicly execute or "humiliate for their enjoyment." According to a Sun Online story, Taliban killing squads uncovered footage of Afghan prostitutes on several porn sites. According to reports, the sex workers pursued would be subjected to gang-rape before being stoned or hanging to death.

Following the Taliban's takeover of power last month, women in the nation have been living in terror of their rights being revoked. Despite the Taliban's assurances that women's rights will be safeguarded in line with Islamic law, that they will be permitted to work, and that children will be able to attend school, many women activists are concerned about persecution under the Taliban government.

According to reports in July, the Taliban directed local religious authorities to furnish a list of females above the age of 15 and widows under 45 for "marriage" with the Islamist hardline group's warriors.
