In a CCTV video, a man tried to steal a gold chain from a store but ended up returning it.
An old video emerged on social media and is creating a buzz online. Jewellery stores are one of the main targets for thieves and robbers, so it’s necessary to secure a robust protection system in place. One such incident occurred in Thailand where a man attempted to steal a gold chain from a store but flopped severely.
In the video, 27-year-old Suphachai Panthong stepped into a store in Choburi, Thailand, asking for a gold necklace worth £500. He puts the chain on his neck, acting as he appreciates it, and then rushes towards the exit. However, because of the locked door, he could not get out! Panthong ends up returning the jewellery before waiting for the police to come.
It looks like the store owner became suspicious and locked the door in advance. The police later arrested the thief from the shop. A report suggested that Panthong confessed to the police that he was recently dismissed from his job at a factory and struggling to find other income sources. Watch the video.
