Man drags traffic police on car bonnet to evade fine; video goes viral

An on-duty traffic cop was dragged on the car bonnet in Pune after he attempted to stop the vehicle. It is said that the policeman tried to stop the car after he spotted those inside the vehicle without masks.

To evade fine for not wearing a mask, a man allegedly dragged an on-duty traffic police personnel on the car bonnet in Pimpri-Chinchwad district of Pune. According to a report, the traffic cop, Abasaheb Sawant attached to Pimpri Chinchwad Police traffic division has suffered an injury on his leg.

The policeman tried to stop the car after he spotted those inside the vehicle without masks. In the video, the cop is been seen hanging on the car bonnet, which the driver continued driving till he was forced to stop by some two-wheeler drivers who were chasing the vehicle. A video of the incident has now gone viral.

Finally, the driver of the vehicle was arrested. A case has been registered with Chinchwad Police Station under Section 307, 353, 323, 279 and 24(a), 177 of the Motor Vehicle Act. The accused has been identified as 49-year-old Yuvraj Hanuvate.
