Karnataka coalition crisis: Congress workers protest in Bengaluru; commissioner issues prohibitory orders

Bengaluru: High drama occurred in Bengaluru after Congress workers alleged that two Independents are lodged in an apartment located on Race Course Road in the city. While Congress and BJP workers gathered outside the building, an argument broke out between them. Police are trying to bring the situation under control.

Prohibitory orders have been imposed for 48 hours in Bengaluru following the clash.

Speaking about the prohibitory orders, Bengaluru police commissioner Alok Kumar reportedly said that due to the tension prevailing on either side, various political groups gathering and facing off with each other, to prevent any untoward incident, Section 144 in Bengaluru city police limits has been declared and all bars, pubs and wine shops will be closed today and tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the floor test in the Assembly is expected to take place at any time.
