Bengaluru: We witnessed over 1,000 migrant workers in Mumbai gather outside the station in Bandra on Tuesday demanding transportation arrangements to go back to their hometowns, hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of the ongoing nationwide lockdown till May 3. But here in Bengaluru, a group of 30 labourers working at a construction site have chosen to stay back and obey government lockdown rules.
However, these men are forced to stay at the construction site which is in a pathetic condition. 5-6 men are forced to stay in a makeshift tent and are not provided with ration to survive. The construction owner claims to have given Rs 10,000 for 30 labourers to spend since the lockdown started.
