Kerala: Houseboat catches fire, 13 passengers jump into lake

A houseboat in Kerala's Alappuzha caught fire on January 23.  During the incident, the houseboat was carrying 13 members. As the fire began to spread, the occupants jumped into the lake.  No casualties have been reported and all 13 are reportedly safe. Reports state that the fire broke out due to a short circuit.
