How world’s largest COVID-19 vaccination drive is rolling out in various states

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday launched India’s Covid-19 vaccination drive, the world’s largest inoculation exercise against the novel coronavirus. We bring you Covid-19 vaccination drive from different locations across the country.

 

Delhi: A sanitation worker became the first person to receive Covid-19 vaccine jab at AIIMS, Delhi. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan was also present.

 

Maharashtra: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated the vaccination centre at BKC Jumbo COVID19 hospital. Dr Anand Sude in DY Patil Hospital in Navi Mumbai was the first Covid-19 vaccine beneficiary.

 

Karnataka: A sanitation worker named Nagarathna was the first to receive the Covid-19 jab. In Bengaluru CM Yediyurappa and other ministers greeted her with flowers. Dr Asma Tabassum was the first health worker to get the shot.

 

Gujarat: Vaccination drive began at Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad in presence of CM Vijay Rupani.

 

Rajasthan: AIIMS director Sanjeev Mishra and CMHO Balwant Manda received the vaccination shot in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

 

Tamil Nadu: Dr K Senthil, president of the Tamil Nadu Government Doctors Association was the first to receive the coronavirus vaccine as CM K Palaniswami inaugurated the Covid-19 vaccination drive in Tamil Nadu at the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai.
