Explained: How often does one need to check an oximeter?

The demand for oximeters has peaked in the second wave of Coronavirus in the country. 

Covid-infected patients in home isolation are advised by doctors to use the pulse oximeter to monitor oxygen levels on their own. 

But there are certain things patients should know before they use the oximeter. Dr Suchismitha Rajamanya, consultant for internal medicine at Manipal Hospitals in Whitefield, Bengaluru explains.
