'Vaccinate dialysis and transplant patients with health workers'

Patients who have been undergone dialysis and transplant should be considered for vaccination along with health workers and frontline staff. 

According to Dr G K Prakash, Consultant-Nephrology at the Manipal Hospitals, Malleshwaram, "Dialysis patients belong to vulnerable strata, and thus are prone to develop infection. Same is the case with those who have undergone transplantation. Both are immuno-compromised."

"Both vulnerable groups of patients should be prioritised as early as possible," Dr G K Prakash said.
