Even as India was celebrating its 72nd Independence Day, farmers protesting against the Centre's farm laws took out a tractor parade on the streets of Delhi.
However, things took an ugly turn when violence broke out in parts of the national capital.
At Delhi's Ghazipur border area, Security personnel fired tear gas shells and lathicharged farmers after they tried to break down the barricades using tractors.
