Facebook-owned platforms WhatsApp and Instagram suffered a global outage late Friday night.
For about 45 minutes, WhatsApp users were unable to send or receive messages and Instagram users were unable to refresh feeds.
Facebook is yet to reveal what caused the outage.
This is not the first time that Facebook services have suffered a disruption. In December 2020, all Facebook services were down for several hours.
