SC junks Anil Deshmukh’s plea against Bombay HC order refusing to quash CBI FIR in corruption case

His plea in the HC had sought relief from any coercive action against him as well as the quashing and setting aside of the FIR registered against him.  

The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s plea challenging Bombay HC order refusing to quash the CBI FIR against him in a money laundering case.

A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah was hearing the case.

The Bombay HC had rejected the plea of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on July 22.

His plea in the HC had sought relief from any coercive action against him as well as the quashing and setting aside of the FIR registered against him.
