Gas leak at Rourkela Steel Plant claims 4 lives

The contract workers took ill after inhaling toxic gas this morning after which they were rushed to the Ispat General Hospital.

Four people have lost their lives in a gas leak at the Rourkela Steel Plant in Odisha.

The contract workers took ill after inhaling toxic gas this morning after which they were rushed to the Ispat General Hospital.

They succumbed at the hospital.

In a statement, the steel plant said that all emergency protocols were immediately activated.

An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the leak
