Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that lockdown will now remain effective till 5 am on May 3. Kejriwal said that the next course of action will be decided in the coming days depending on how the pandemic situation unfolds in Delhi-NCR.

Delhi on Saturday reported the highest single-day rise in its Covid-19 deaths with 357 more people succumbing to the virus. The city also reported over 24,000 new cases. The national capital's Covid-19 positivity rate has been nearly 36 per cent during the last few days.

To ensure continuous availability of oxygen, the Delhi government has set up a portal where manufacturers, suppliers and hospitals will update supply and consumption data every couple of hours.
