The Congress leaders placed two demands in front of President Kovind. Two sitting SC judges should probe Lakhimpur incident, those who committed murder should be punished, Rahul Gandhi told President Kovind.

“We have two demands in the Lakhimpur injustice case - fair judicial inquiry, Immediate dismissal of the Minister of State for Home.” Rahul Gandhi said.

Talking to media outside Rashtrapati Bhawan, Rahul Gandhi said, “We told the President that the accused's father who is MoS Home, should be removed from the post as a fair probe is not possible in his presence. Likewise, we also demanded inquiry be done by two sitting judges of Supreme Court.”
