Karnataka Legislative Council Deputy Chairman SL Dharme Gowda's body found at railway track

Karnataka Legislative Council Deputy Chairman SL Dharme Gowda has been found dead near Chikmagalur.

His body was recovered at 2 AM from a Railway track.

Sources said the JDS leader drove to Chikkamagaluru on Monday evening at around 4 PM. 

He reportedly spoke to a few people and gathered information about train timings. 

Later on, Gowda asked the driver to stay back in the car and told him that he is going to get water. He never returned.

Gowda's dead body has been taken to Shimoga for autopsy and final rites.
