J&K: Terrorist neutralised in Kulgam encounter identified as Pakistani

Police said the killed terrorist was a Pakistani national and an associate of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Lamboo, who was recently killed in an encounter with the police and security forces.
 

A major terrorist attack was foiled in Jammu and Kashmir as security forces eliminated a terrorist following a 15-hour long gun battle along Srinagar- Jammu national highway. The police also recovered a huge cache of arms, including rocket launchers from the encounter site.

Police said the killed terrorist was a Pakistani national and an associate of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Lamboo, who was recently killed in an encounter with the police and security forces.

"Usman, the terrorist killed in the Kulgam encounter, is a Pakistani & a close associate of top JeM commander Lamboo who was recently killed in an encounter. It confirms Pakistan’s involvement in the attack on the BSF convoy," said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.

Also confirming that the terrorists were from Pakistan, IGP Kumar said, 'If Pakistan wants to claim the dead body of the terrorist, we are ready to give'.
