Indian IT major Infosys to hire 35,000 fresh college graduates for FY-22 globally

In a big announcement, Infosys said that it will hire new talents and recruit 35,000 fresh college graduates for the financial year 2022 and this hiring will not just be limited to India. The announcement comes immediately after its Q1 results.
 

After witnessing a net profit of Rs 5,195 crore in its Quarterly Results 1 and consolidated revenue of Rs 27,896 crore, the homegrown IT service Infosys is all set to go for a major hiring spree.

As per Chief Operating Officer Pravin Rao, the country's second IT giant will hire 35,000 college graduates from across the globe for the financial year 2022.

The efforts from IT services, especially during Covid peak time was earlier lauded by PM Narendra Modi.

As per reports, as compared to last year's Q1 results in which the company had reported Rs 4,233 crore profits, the company witnessed a jump and reported Rs 5,078 crore net profit this time during Jan-March 2021 report.

Salil Parekh, CEO and MD feels that the decent growth of profit to 4.8% based on 'quarter-on-quarter' and 16.9% annually is purely due to employees dedication and the unshakable trust of its clients.
