The Uttar Pradesh health department has reportedly ordered a probe after a purported video of Dr Arinjay Jain -- the owner of Paras Hospital in Agra -- went viral on social media.

In the video, the veracity of which is yet to be ascertained, the hospital owner is heard saying that there was an acute shortage of oxygen that day (April 26). He claimed the hospital administration asked people to get their patients discharged, but no one was ready.

It was then that the 'oxygen mock drill' was reportedly conducted.

Agra district Chief Medical Officer Dr R Pandey said a probe had been ordered into the viral video.

Agra District Magistrate Prabhu N Singh, however, denied reports about 22 lives being lost that day at Paras Hospital. He stated that only seven patients had succumbed on April 26 and 27.
